Aporexia: obsesión por el tamaño de los poros #025

¿Eres de las/los que se mira en el espejo y sufre horrores por los poros? ¿A qué estarías dispuesta/o a renunciar a cambio de reducir el tamaño de tus poros?
Sabemos que verse los poros enormes en el espejo es un poco molesto, y, queriendo o no, nos comparamos con las pieles perfectas de las revistas (aunque sepamos que tienen photoshop), las pieles de porcelana de la ola K-beauty, los filtros de las cámaras que ocultan las imperfecciones, y eso nos hace sentir que somos las únicas freaks con los poros del tamaño de un pozo petrolero.
Y sabemos que una cosa es lo que muestran las fotos y los videos y otra diferente es la gente real, pero sin quererlo terminamos tan frustradas que ¡hay gente que ha confesado querer tener una piel sin poros! ¿Se imaginan? Ya le pusieron un nombre a esta obsesión, lo llaman Aporexia.
Hay gente que gasta millonadas en salones de belleza o spa para conseguir el tratamiento que les ayude a reducir los poros… o eliminarlos. Y es una locura, porque ¿sabías que el tamaño de los poros no tiene nada que ver con la salud de la piel? Yo no lo sabía hasta que leí un estudio sobre el tema. Entonces, poros grandes no significa piel enferma, pero la gente le gasta más a este tema que a otros que sí son importantes, como el bloqueador solar, la contaminación que sí ataca la piel, las infecciones de la piel,etc.
Aunque algunos tratamientos te aseguren “Eliminamos los poros”, esto es imposible. Sí, como lo ves: IMPOSIBLE. Y afortunadamente no se puede, porque la piel necesita los poros para recibir los beneficios de los agentes externos que le aplicas, y necesita eliminar las toxinas mediante el sudor.

Lo que sí es general, para todos por igual, es el daño solar como factor en el agrandamiento de los poros. Mientras más exposición al sol, más daño le hacemos a la piel y la producción de colágeno se entorpece, la piel se hace menos elástica y los poros se ven más grandes.
Entonces si tanto nos preocupa, empecemos por prevenir este problema, a las afortunadas/os que aún no sufren de este mal. ¡USA BLOQUEADOR SOLAR! Sí, es en serio, es fundamental, es lo mínimo que puedes hacer por amor a ti misma/o. Un bloqueador solar FPS50, con protección UVA y UVB, y varias veces al día.
¿YA ES DEMASIADO TARDE?
Pero si a pesar de todo el problema persiste, como en el caso de acné crónico, debes consultar a un dermatólogo. Inclusive, podría tratarse de un problema hormonal y será necesario consultar con un endocrino.
Finalmente, no podemos olvidar la alimentación adecuada. Si comes muchas grasas no saludables, tu piel te va a delatar; si comes alimentos llenos de antioxidantes, vitaminas, grasas saludables ¡tu piel también se lo va a decir al mundo!
En cualquier caso, hacer del uso de bloqueador solar, de la limpieza facial, de la exfoliación periódica, de la adecuada nutrición de tu piel y de tu cuerpo una rutina de vida, no de belleza, DE VIDA, no sólo va a mejorar la apariencia de tus poros, sino que vas a mejorar de manera integral.
